Inner Workings by Maria TalaveraMy work consists of pieces inspired by organ donation. This specific piece was inspired by someone very close to me who has asthma. I decided to take digital illustrations of the human male chest torso and divide up the body in four layersthe skin, muscle, internal organs, and the skeleton. The viewer can open the book and see each layer separately, but when the book is closed the body then becomes one image.
