Ardnakinna, Bere Island, Co. CorkI wasn't planning to photograph Ardnakinna. We were in the Irish Lights helicopter, heading back to Castletownbere after a visit to the Fastnet, and as we came around the southern tip of Bere Island the whole scene just opened up below me. The lighthouse sitting out on its rocky headland, Bere Haven harbour to the left, the Beara mountains rolling away into the distance. I couldn't resist. The colours were remarkable.
